Marshall Chasin and Associates has been serving the GTA with hearing services since 1985.
As director of research and chief audiologist of the Musicians' Clinics of Canada, Marshall Chasin has the experience and knowledge help musicians with their specific hearing needs. As founding member of the Hearing Instrument Review Panel, Marshall Chasin has reviewed many new hearing aids, which allows him to choose from the very best for our clients. Marshall Chasin is the author of five books on hearing, hearing loss prevention, and hearing aids. He is an associate professor in Audiology at the University of Western Ontario; an adjunct professor in Linguistics at the University of Toronto; and an adjunct research associate at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. Marshall is also the author of a weekly blog (www.hearinghealthmatters.org/hearthemusic) having over 10,000 monthly visitors.
Jo has the unique combination of being a clinical audiologist with a PhD in Speech-Language Pathology. She has been teaching Applied Audiology in the S-LP Program at U of T since 2000. Her primary area of interest is the importance of social skills development and peer interaction for young children with severe and profound hearing loss. Jo is an advocate for the removal of barriers for people who are D/deaf and hard of hearing. She has served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Board of The Canadian Hearing Society and is currently on the Interim Board of Hands and Voices.
Shimon Shnaidman is a graduate of George Brown College (Hearing
Instrument Specialist Program), and has been in the hearing services
industry in the Toronto area for more than 17 years. He has worked
in the private as well as public sector and has worked at Baycrest
Centre for Geriatric care for more than 10 years. Shimon has been an
associate with Marshall Chasin since 2007. His is fluent in both
English and in Hebrew.
Anthony Vila is a graduate of George Brown College (Hearing
Instrument Specialist Program), and has been in the hearing services
industry for more than 10 years. He first worked at Barrie Audiology
when he graduated and is currently working at Winona Hearing Aid
Centre for the last 8 years, as well as with Marshall Chasin &
Associates since 2008. Anthony is fluent in English and in Spanish,
and understands a little Italian and Portuguese.
